On November 29th, 2017 Signature Psychiatric Hospital held an Open House and Ribbon Cutting by the Northland Chamber of Commerce for a new, state-of-the art Outpatient Services Suite. The new Outpatient Services Suite provides a partial hospitalization program, and an intensive outpatient program, both for adults, and features a new Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment suite.
TMS is a non-invasive, non-drug advanced technology provided in an outpatient setting that is FDA-approved for the treatment of clinical depression and other treatment resistant disorders. TMS uses magnetic fields to stimulate targeted nerve cells in the brain that have been identified as underactive in certain conditions. During therapy the patient is fully alert and able to resume normal activities immediately afterward.
