Lunch-N-Learn: Suicide Risk in Older Adults
Angie Winkler, LPC, Clinical Liaison for Signature Psychiatric Hospital, will present “Suicide Risk in Older Adults: Depression and Mental Health Treatment for Seniors.” A certificate of attendance for 1.0 continuing education hour will be given for attendees in a social service profession.
One in five adults over the age of 55 will experience a mental health concern. Suicide rates in the elderly are much higher than any other age group. Angie’s presentation will identify underlying factors that lead to depression and suicide risk in older adults. Hope and treatment is available through Signature’s Silver Lining program.
