How do I know if you take my insurance?
We accept most commercial insurance plans. Our assessment and referral staff will assist you with any insurance coverage concerns you may have.
Where is Signature Psychiatric Hospital located?
We are located at 2900 Clay Edwards Dr. North Kansas City, MO 64116. It is just east of I-35 and Armour Rd, on the campus of North Kansas City Hospital.
What can I expect when I first arrive at Signature?
You will be greeted by a member of our assessment team, and asked to fill out our health assessment.
Who do I call after hours for help?
Patients who have medical needs or need an assessment after 8:00pm are asked to go through the North Kansas City Hospital Emergency Room. A member of the Signature staff will meet with the patient and conduct the assessment there.
What are the visitation hours?
Patient Halls 1 and 2 (rooms 100-109):
Monday, Thursday, and Saturday: 7:30pm-8:30pm
Patient Halls 3 and 4 (rooms 110-119):
Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday 7:30pm-8:30pm
What ages does Signature treat?
Signature Psychiatric Hospital is an adult treatment facility. We treat patients who are 18 years of age and older.
What do I /can I bring to the hospital?
- ID and insurance card
- 3 changes of clothes
- Washer and dryer are provided
- reading material with no staples
- House slippers with tread
- Travel sized soap and shampoo
- Up to 3 bras with no underwire
- Plastic hairbrush

In the Intensive Outpatient Program and Partial Hospitalization Program, will I see a psychiatrist and how often?
Yes. Intensive Outpatient Program patients are seen once per week and Partial Hospitalization Program patients are seen twice per week by the psychiatrist for medication management.
Will I be able to work and attend outpatient services?
Yes. If it is recommended that you return to work we offer a variety of outpatient programming times.
Do you offer individual therapy?
Our outpatient programs are primarily group therapy but we do offer individual/family session components. We also offer referrals to individual therapists and strongly encourage these services for aftercare.
